If you prefer to choose a shorter route (which will take you at least 5 hours anyway).

From Cadenabbia by car, passing through San Fedele d’Intelvi and Pigra, reach the Boffalora refuge where you can park your car.
This is where the path starts, first paved and then slowly unpaved until it becomes a path.

It is a path of historical interest since the remains of the Cadorna defensive line are still visible.
From here it is possible to “make an additional stop” up to the top of Monte Galbiga (1698) which, on clear days, offers beautiful panoramas to the Bernina group and Monte Rosa.

Take the path that leads to Monte Crocione, which cuts the ridge of the mountain along a path bare of vegetation.
Last effort, the only one actually uphill, to reach the cross and dominate Lake Como and admire the Grigna.
