End of the War museum

The Museum of the War of Dongo is located in the picturesque town of Dongo, on the northwestern shore of Lake Como. This museum is dedicated to the crucial events of World War II, particularly the capture and execution of Benito Mussolini and the fascist leaders, which took place in April 1945.

Inside the museum, visitors can explore a vast collection of historical artifacts, including documents, photographs, uniforms, weapons, and personal items that tell the story of the Italian Resistance and the final days of the fascist regime. The exhibits are organized to provide a detailed and engaging historical context, allowing visitors to better understand the events that marked the end of the conflict in Italy.

Through films, testimonies, and informative panels, the Museum of the War of Dongo offers an educational and touching experience, making it a must-visit for anyone wishing to delve deeper into the history of the 20th century and the tragedies of war.
